Real Journey Nepal Celebrates Successful Holi Festival With Italian Volunteers

At Real Journey Nepal, we are proud to work with dedicated volunteers who are committed to making a difference in the lives of local communities. Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming six volunteers from Italy – Noa, Noarje, Eline, Megan, Davil, and Kristy – who were here to volunteer at CBIA School and Monastery. We are excited to share their experience of celebrating the vibrant Holi festival with the CBIA community.

Holi is a colorful festival celebrated all over Nepal and India to welcome the spring season. It is a festival of joy, love, and unity, and people from all walks of life come together to celebrate it. At CBIA School, the students and teachers prepared for the festival with great enthusiasm, and the volunteers from Italy were thrilled to be a part of the celebrations.

The festival began with a special assembly where students presented traditional Holi songs and dances, and the volunteers were warmly welcomed by the CBIA community. Following the assembly, everyone took part in a colorful procession, throwing and smearing each other with brightly colored powders. The volunteers were amazed at the joyous atmosphere and the level of excitement that filled the air.

The celebrations continued with a range of activities including games, food stalls, and cultural performances. The volunteers showcased their creativity by painting colorful murals and creating stunning art installations, adding to the festive atmosphere of the day. The students and volunteers had a great time together, getting to know each other and exchanging ideas about their respective cultures.

At Real Journey Nepal, we believe that volunteering is a two-way process, where both volunteers, and local communities benefit. The exchange program provided a unique opportunity for the volunteers from Italy to learn from and interact with people from different backgrounds, promoting mutual understanding and respect.

We extend our warmest thanks to Noa, Noarje, Eline, Megan, Davil, and Kristy for their hard work and dedication during their stay with us, and we are delighted that they could take part in this joyous festival. We are proud to support CBIA School and Monastery in their efforts to provide education and empower local communities, and we look forward to future collaborations that promote cross-cultural exchange and community service. Together, we can make a difference!
