Bhote Koshi River Rafting – 9 Days

Overview

The Bhote Koshi River Rafting is best described as a liquid rush! As steep as it gets with constant rapids, this two-day trip is a full body workout and the skill and determination of the paddle crew is tested to the limit. The Bhotekosi River roughly translated as ‘river from Tibet’, although little more than a mountain stream has one of the steepest gradients of any ratable river in Nepal.

Bhote Koshi River Rafting Itinerary

Snow Giants loom over as the clean, fresh water roars and dodges its way through narrow canyons and the remnants of a huge, Giants’ boulder-tossing contest! Shooting down glistening shoots into bubbling, frothing pools, the raft twists, turns and plunges to the exhilarated shrieks of the crew. The Bhote Koshi River is one of the most technical rivers in Nepal, providing continuous, challenging rapids from start to finish. It has been likened to a pinball machine and you’re the ball, which is certainly how it feels, with one intense rapid after another. It is exhilarating and fun and you will love running it! It is full of nasty drops, pour overs and huge bumping boulders. With an experienced guide it is a great first river for beginners, while having more than enough to challenge and thrill for an experienced rafter! Best time to Raftting on Bhote Koshi River:

There are two rafting seasons, The best season is September following the monsoon and extending through October, November and sometimes early December. The second season follows the spring thaw from March to May, the best water being in April/ May. It is great if you can combine the Marsyangdi or the Kali Gandaki with any of our treks in the Annapurna Region. If you are short of time we can arrange an airfare back from Pokhara to Kathmandu (or vice- versa). Keen to see a tiger? Add on a jungle safari to Chitwan or Bardia National Park.
